As Global Medical Response’s South Region Vice President of Operations, Sonny Geary oversees ground and air emergency medical service operations across Texas, Oklahoma, and eastern New Mexico. With more than 37 years of EMS experience, Mr. Geary began his career as a frontline caregiver and later held key leadership roles in high-performance systems such as the Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA) in Oklahoma, Sunstar Paramedics in Florida, and several Texas 911 markets.
Known for his results-oriented leadership, Mr. Geary emphasizes system development, relationship building, and quality improvement. A former law enforcement officer and firefighter, he brings a deep appreciation for the vital role first responders play in community health and safety. Mr. Geary earned a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies of business, healthcare, and government administration from Liberty University in Virginia.
